Toulouse’s Biography
Toulouse’s past is shrouded in mystery although he has alluded to some experiences with artists as a youth in Paris, France.
Reports from various individuals provide evidence, though conflicting, that they attended classes at the Sorbonne with Toulouse in the 1980s. Others report that a small grey cat, who fits the description of Toulouse, led the student uprising of 1988 in Paris.
After he was spotted at a Michigan truck stop in fall of 2007, Toulouse met Nina Munteanu, Canadian SF author. Recognizing her “genius” for writing but her serious need to correct her grammar and spelling, they decided to form a partnership. Their love for travel, culture & history, fine dining, exploration and adventure solidified an enduring friendship and Nina often joins Toulouse on his travels.
Toulouse has tasted his way from Paris to Bangkok and, for the sake of adventure, he has already braved many exotic adventures. So far Toulouse was drenched cave-tubing in Belize, climbed ancient Mayan temples in Costa Maya, rode a Harley in Cozumel, got lost in Paris and Altstadt Zurich, sat on a New York police man’s gun, then drank a few with staff at the Waldorf’s Bull & Bear. He was chased by a dog in Detroit, visited a plantation in Georgia, played in the snow in Whistler, dined with a prince in Switzerland, and drank too much on a Caribbean cruise… There are many more adventures to share, including one in space! Toulouse has travelled by plane, boat, car, motorcycle, and even paw and foot over several continents and he plans to find yet other ways to travel.
Toulouse’s Facebook page tells us that he was born on November 12, 1975, but gives no further information. He currently lives in Nova Scotia where he pursues his art and assignations with other artists and poets, usually in the local pub. If you’re lucky, you might catch Toulouse in several other places where he relaxes, discusses politics and art, meets strange people, eats excellent food, experiences “the good life” and helps SF writer friend Nina with her spelling. He reportedly loves sailing; several witnesses have reported seeing a small gray cat para-sailing over the Nova Scotia coast.
An international sommelier, connoisseur of fine-dining, explorer & adventurer, and art aficionado, Toulouse gives Yoga lessons and paints. Toulouse is an accomplished artist in the Impressionist style (having reportedly studied under Isabo LaFoux in Paris while studying at the Sorbonne). His paintings can be viewed in several private collections in Europe and North America. Prints and some originals are available for purchase.
He is currently discussing film rights to his memoirs.
